I do buy designer bags. You've perhaps seen my mentions of Kate Spade. I like her bags because they last FOREVER. I stopped buying them for a while because of the price. But then I realized that I was beating the crap out of a few lesser purses each year. (I guess I'm rough on bags.) So I went back to Kate Spade, but only when I can get an online sample sale for some ridiculous low price. It usually is about the price of two of the non-designer bags. I use them for everything. They are typically vinyl and take a beating, so they last for years and years, even though I am a brutal owner. In that case, I don't mind paying the extra money.

I will not, however, pay for a designer wallet. That is simply nonsense. Nor will I pay over $160 for the purses. I gag at the logo bags that I see each season that someone "must" have and the simply look dated and tired the next year because they are everywhere. Go classic and with something you can beat up. Then I approve of designer.
