Dr. Dean:

Thinking about those statistics are staggering. Seen this little quiz before, and it's a clear indication of the massive overhaul we need.

Gov't gives such a mixed message on savings. It would seem people would hop more on the bandwagon if there were more incentives - why not double the Roth contribution limit?

Many people don't know these programs exist, or that you can order (for free) tons of informational pamphlets and booklets. Either they've got to integrate this better into schools/education or they've got to send a strong message to debtors (allow more foreclosures and bankruptcies).

I am working on a bond post for beginners right now. Almost everyone owns bonds in their 401k or 403b, and no one knows much about how they work. I consider that a challenge worth working on.

thanks for taking the quiz!

I love quizzes so I just had to challenge myself to this one. I scored 4 out of 5. The bond question threw me off, I left that one in limbo since I wasn't sure. However, I did great on the other 4. I guess I need more information on bonds. It's funny, because I've purchased bonds for friend's kids and my nieces/nephews and really don't have any clue as to what kind of an investment they are. Thanks for the challenge!

I loved that quiz!! I think I had an unfair advantage having my Master's Degree in Financial Planning from Bentley and all :) Some of those FIRA IEF stats were scary though. It makes me proud of Financially Digital, to keep doing what we do and to show my love here in your comments :) I keep coming back because I'm constantly still trying to get my hands on as many different perspectives and experiences as possible and as it happens I'm a pretty big fan of yours. I think you do a great job of educating people to do great things for themselves.
