I just left my office on a beautiful South Georgia Saturday morning having let Keith, the computer guy, in to unbox 8 PC’s as part of our move into the 21st century- with a new practice management system and an EMR!
The new system is by athenahealth (yes a small “a” – grammar Nazi), and I have high hopes that with a little kicking and screaming, cursing and scowling my staff and I will succeed in this new venture.
We are learning all about “the cloud” the newest mantra in the tech world. Wish us luck!
As many of you know, I am a member of the Yakezie. Yakezie is a group of top personal finance bloggers (how did they let me in?) whose motto is to help others.
There is a new group of “challengers” who have joined and are doing great things.
I have been a little slack lately in getting to know them, but am working hard at catching up.
So here is a little taste of a few of the new “young-guns” of Yakezie! (I am sure they all know about cloud technology, and can even download apps on their smartphone and stuff…)
Life and My Finances has an article on staying on track with debt reduction using a jeep and snow analogy. I’m glad winter in the south is essentially over-I’m tired of it…
Tim @ Faith and Finance gives a lesson on 100 things he has learned about blogging. Interesting stuff-and true too!
The Single Saver has a tip of the day thing going, and a Friday Food Saver! Cool!
Buck Inspire has a brake job to discuss with you! It is never a bad thing to get a second opinion. Even if the first one was from me!
Sunil at the Extra Money Blog has a great review of the advantages of developing a passive income stream. The problem for most is to have a passive income stream, you have to actively develop it. And that takes hard work!
Sandy at First Gen American can tell a whiner what they can do to cut their budget pretty damn fast! Great insight from someone who has been there.
Krantcents talks about millionaires-Hey he forgot to call me…
Generation Next Finance writes about the steps to home ownership. Good advice if you are in the market!
Mom’s Plan- has a freezer cooking day planned. If you don’t know what that means, check it out! It can save you a lot of money on meals, especially those lunch’s out! Melissa, have you tried the Vegan candy bar in one of your ads? Sounds yucky….
For advice on wedding gifts, check out Debt Diva‘s tips.
101 Centavos is giving career tips-and Watch for Scorpions does qualify. Just don’t get cynical and assume everyone is a scorpion. That makes life so sad. I would rather get stung occasionally then never get close to people.
Money Cone writes about how to find annualized return on your investment. Before you yawn, and move on-this topic is a must understand to judge your investment success. Make sure you spend a little time and are comfortable with this principle!
And finally, Retire by 40, has a guest post about debt by Broke Professional, here you go- a twofer link love! I am too late to retire by 40, and retire by 50, but since I love my day job, and my 4 or is it 5 night jobs…..And I’m not a broke professional, though I have been one!
Please take a minute and visit, and comment at these fine blogs, and their even finer writers/owners. I hope to get to visit, and link up with more of the Yakezie Challengers soon!
Drop by and check out the Yakezie carnival at Money Reasons-a great collection of good reads!
