Financial Follies: My Brain Looks Like That? You Wish!

The Friday Financial and Health Follies (FFHF) summarize the important (or just fun) financial and health issues of the week.

  • Share the humor of the funny
  • Make fun of the stupid.
  • Highlight and explain new financial and health news-so you don’t miss it!

Friday Financial Follies

Yep, it’s here again.  My how time flies when you’re have’n fun!  Wouldn’t you know, the news hasn’t changed much since the last follies-the big news that is.  Apple and Amazon are killin’ it, aren’t they?

All that little stuff -news, stories and tidbits that we enjoy so much, we bring it to you, no charge!

Cool huh! (the answer is ‘way cool, Dean!’ )

Once again, we’ve found fun or enlightenment or both to share.  At the MN household, we’ve been on an ‘improve our brain’ binge, and you’ll see evidence of that below.

Come along and enjoy our take on the week:

Brains and Magnets

And you thought all this medical science stuff was boring.  Nope.  With image-ination, even MRI scanners have their interesting side.

Magnets and Imagination

Male Teen Herd Mentality

Four scary words and four scary teens who demonstrated this on camera when they  stole a police bait car with cameras rolling.

You Won the Lottery! You won the Lottery!

Not a typo, this woman actually won the lottery twice in one day.   A million $ each time.

Viral You Tube Video

Birth to 12 in 2 min 45.  By a Dutchman of his daughter, Lotte.  Way cool.

Medical Data Mining

IT saving lives.  Your bank and grocer do it.  Extract the data about your last heart attack or diabetic coma and prevent the problem in someone else.  Pioneers in medical data mining.

Anyone interested in a triple?

Bypass that is.  Second heart attack victim succumbs to Heart Attack Grill cuisine, a popular Las Vegas diner.

Checked Butt Fat for What??

Fruits and veggies is the subject. This is a cool presentation and besides, what’s butt fat got to do with a heart attack?

Scar Tissue

Heart failure is often due to a build up of scar tissue in heart muscles.  At Duke University, scientists changed scar tissue into heart muscle without the use of stem cells.  Early, but hopeful.

  1. Thanks for including me, Dean. You gave me the idea by telling me you are reading Dickens at the moment – but it is all true. Butt fat, eh? Have to look into this one; or shall I say, need to look in the mirror :) .
