How about using those extendable saws to cut branches? My neighbors came out and watched with fascination when I cut down two truckloads worth of branches from various oak trees. I got hit when branches came down unexpectedly, I could handle that. But, it is a miracle that I did not slice my face off when the saw slammed back and swished through my hair.
