Donate to Nurse Scholarship Fund
My extended family and I have established the DL and Pat Burke Nursing Scholarship to assist students in my local community to obtain their nursing degree, in conjunction with the Bainbridge College Foundation. This to honor my late parents, great believers in education.
I have already begun depositing a portion of the proceeds from my book sales,speaking fees, and blog earnings to this fund.
If you have been assisted by this blog, and feel moved to give, I would appreciate your tax deductible donations. You can mail them to the Burke Nursing Scholarship Fund, Bainbrige College Foundation, PO Box 990, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Bless you Dr Dean. I am no longer a nurse, however you can never take the nurse out of Linda. I founded a scholarship fund in 1997. I have never regretted it. Other run it now and do not know who founded it, history is rewritten but the fund still exists. I am BC Stage IV – no income little spare – but still managed to send $200 to women to help them with co pays for chemo – funded an airline ticket for a gal to go to a BC retreat – supported two on line support groups $150.00 and will be spending my Christmas gift fund on a man who had lung cancer – is very poor and needs a huge food basket of food s he cannot afford and warm pajamas. So – If I can do this with my “widow’s mite”, you will do amazing things with your scholarship fund. As soon as I have some spare change and you have your Paypal button – I will send a widow’s mite to you, a tiny mustard seed to grow into a new nurse. Every little helps and you are a great helper.
